THIS IS THE MOST FRIGHTENING 10-YEAR FORECAST I’VE ever done, but it is also the most hopeful—and I’ve been saying that for the last 10 years. The scramble will be beyond many people’s ability to cope.
The scramble will reward clarity (being very clear about where you want to go, but very flexible about how you get there), but it will punish certainty. There will be very little true certainty in a scramble, but there will be lots of false certainty.
As the scramble increases, the value of full-spectrum thinking will increase. Unfortunately, the temptations of false or simplistic categorization will also grow.
