It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

A hobbyist should find the free version of Fusion 360 sufficient. However,
there are manufacturing extensions you can purchase with cloud credits
that offer additional functionalities for professionals, such as toolpaths for
steep and shallow regions, hole recognition, probe geometry, and surface
inspection.
