As I’ve discussed elsewhere in this book, as a data controller you have extra considerations when it comes to the processing of children’s personal data. In this chapter, I take a more in-depth look into getting consent from children, what lawful grounds for processing are appropriate, and the additional rights children have under the GDPR.

I also cover charities and associations in this chapter. Associations (churches and professional clubs, for example) have no rules specific to them to follow, but they must comply with the GDPR the same as any organization is required to do. Charities, on the other hand, have specific points relating to fundraising activities to consider under the GDPR.
