A drainage basin is an area that is drained by a river and its tributary. Most of the rivers in India are East Flowing Rivers. Most of the rivers enter the Bay of Bengal. It is because the entire landmass of India is tilted towards the East. The Western Side is Emerged Side. This tilt took place during the formation of the Himalayas.
