In other words, there are thousands of ISPs operating and connected all across
the globe. We all know by now (hopefully) that our e-mails do not go point-to-
point, but hop around the Internet. ey are susceptible to being gleaned by all
those with the resources to read other people’s mail or steal information to commit
crimes (e.g., identity theft, competitive intelligence information collections, and, of
course, useful information for information warriors).
So, what is the point? e point is that there are ISPs all over the world with
few regulations and absolutely no protection and defensive standards. Some ISPs
may do an admirable job of protecting our information passing th
