In early 2015, Cecilia Bleasdale emailed a photo of a dress to her daughter Grace who was about to get married. She was planning to wear the dress to the wedding, and wanted to know what Grace thought.
When Grace opened the email and looked at the photo she was surprised. She had instructed everybody to wear dark-coloured dresses to the wedding, but the picture of the dress her mother sent was white and gold. This would not do she thought to herself. Grace called her fiancé Kier over to have a look. He glanced at the photo, and grimaced at his wife to be. ‘Nice joke darling. That blue and black dress will look fantastic on your Mum!’ Grace scorned back at him. ‘What are you talking about; it’s obviously white and gold!’ ...
