4.2 Heterogeneous Catalytic Reactions and Reactors
Catalytic reactions are the reactions in which catalysts are used to enhance the rate of
reaction. Enhancement of the rate is achieved through reduction of activation energy.
The mechanism and the kinetics of the catalytic reactions are discussed in Section 2.1.11.
