When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Limitations
As you can see, the LRA specification has a lot of potential; it can help to manage the consistency of data within microservice architectures.
At the time of writing this book, the specification is still in a draft form, and there are numerous areas for improvement.
Having gone over the use case of our application, in my opinion, the following important limitations must be resolved:
- Single point of failure: In the case of Narayana implementation, there is no way to set the LRA coordinator in high availability. The object store that it used to store the LRA information cannot be shared between instances, so unavailability of the LRA coordinator could be a severe issue.
