So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Security
The thirteenth factor is related to security—application security. The cloud environment jumps from data center to data center, and your application, which could be a backing service, needs to protect its endpoints. Your application might give access to stateful components or to business-related functionalities. You must protect them all.
Nowadays, there are lots of frameworks that help you out with such tasks, such as SSO systems, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
