It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Next, we briefly visit a set of related functions, the sigwait* APIs; they are as follows:
- sigwait(3)
- sigwaitinfo(2)
- sigtimedwait(2)
All of these APIs allow a process (or thread) to block (wait) upon the delivery of one or more signal.
