So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In my early forties, I faced a tough decision. It was 1997, three years into my role as president of KFC, and together with the franchisees, we had turned the company around. PepsiCo chairman Roger Enrico told me that he would like me to take on the role of president of Frito-Lay, the snack food division.
It was an amazing opportunity to lead a bigger and more prestigious division in the company. (PepsiCo had three core divisions—beverages, snack foods, and restaurants.)
