So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Learn by tackling problems
Most of my career moves reflect a theme: I took jobs with organizations that were experiencing trouble. Those might seem like jobs to avoid, but I have never felt that way. When you become responsible for a team or a company at the top of its game, your job is Don’t screw it up. That always sounded harder or scarier than Find a way to fix the problems. I like fixing problems; in fact, fixing one big problem after another at PepsiCo led to my dream job with Yum!
