Resonant Frequency Vibrations
Vibrations that are at resonance produce a very high amount of movement, which can often cause damage to very expensive machinery, possibly leading to a complete system failure. Should this happen, the result could be manufacturing downtime. Therefore, a great deal of research has been devoted to this problem, and it behooves us in the field of audio (where large-scale funding for these types of studies is usually not available) to take advantage of all this outside work.
