So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In this modern, money-crazed world of fetch-it icons and buy-me buttons, you have to be more vigilant than ever about performance claims from overzealous advertising or media “whiz-kids” that are simply too good to be true. As an example, take these actual quotations from an editorial blurb about an acoustical correction panel system that ended up becoming “a complete solution to great sound” with which “users can convert any ordinary room into a high performance recording/audio work-space” (my italics). I know this did not come from the manufacturer because foam, or any other material for that matter cannot make up for serious isolation or dimensional ...
