Many institutions of higher education have communication departments and most of these departments teach courses in electronic media (radio and television). Students in radio broadcasting need hands-on experience and this requires at least a small recording facility to serve as a practical laboratory. It is common for such students to produce programs to be broadcast over the campus system. The studio and control room described in this chapter are for precisely this purpose.
