성공한다면, OPTIONS 메서드는 서버에서 지원하거나 지정한 리소스에 대해 가능
한 선택적인 기능들을 서술하는 여러 헤더 필드를 포함한 200 OK 응답을 반환한
다. 하지만 HTTP/1.1이 명시한 헤더는 서버에 의해(혹은 서버의 특정 리소스에 대
해) 어떤 메서드가 지원되는지 서술하는 Allow 헤더 하나뿐이다. 더 많은 정보를
위해 OPTIONS는 선택적인 응답 본문을 허용하지만 이에 대해 정의된 것은 없다.

Allow 엔터티 헤더 필드는, 요청 URI에 의해 식별되는 자원에 대해 지원되는 메서
드들이나 서버가 지원하는 모든 메서드(요청 URI가 *인 경우)를 열거한다.

들면 다음과 같다.
Allow: GET, HEAD, PUT
Allow 헤더는 새 리소스가 지원했으면 하는 메서드를 추천하기 위해 요청 헤더로
사용될 수 있다. 서버는 추천 받은 메서드를 모두 지원해야 할 의무는 없으며, 그
요청에 대한 응답에는 실제로 지원하는 메서드들을 열거하는 Allow 헤더를 포함시
켜야 한다.
만약 프락시가 지정된 모든 메서드를 이해할 수는 없다고 해도, 프락시는 Allow
헤더 필드를 수정할 수 없다. 왜냐하면 클라이언트는 원 서버와 대화하는 다른 경
로를 갖고 있을 수도 있기 때문이다.
