sizes” on page 33. Following are descriptions of the other required parameters.
Overhead and transfer rates
DB2 UDB defines two parameters related to I/O operational performance: overhead and
transfer rate. These parameters are taken into account when making optimization decisions,
and help determine the relative cost of random versus sequential accesses.
