Note that steps 5 and 7 (above) are optional, there is no need to FlashCopy the PPRC mirror.
This configuration can be used as a basis for a home grown high availability (HA) solution,
where the application would have to have knowledge of both systems and decide when to
switch over. By using PPRC to mirror the log directory and containers, the remote site will
always be up to date; however, there will be a performance penalty incurred on the primary
system as each write must be acknowledged on both ESSs before it will return to the caller.
