So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using Dockerfiles to launch Ansible playbooks
By leveraging Docker files to call Ansible playbooks once launched, we can make our implementation of Docker containers fairly robust. This type of implementation has a number of benefits. The most notable are as follows:
- If there is existing infrastructure that is already leveraging Ansible, keeping the automation control consistent is a no-brainer
- Ansible's module system provides integration with a number of third-party tools and technologies
- Ansible's implementation of easy-to-read syntax and idempotent architecture provides a significant set of capabilities for developers onboarding into Ansible.
