Summary

This was quite a chapter. And we are nearing the halfway point in our journey through this book. In this chapter, we learned the basic constructs of Ansible playbook files, what YAML is, and the basic idea of how Jinja is incorporated as well. In addition to understanding the basic constructs, we learned how to create Ansible playbook YAML files, how to create and manage inventory files, and so much more. This chapter was quite a ride: acquiring knowledge and implementing it.

In the next chapter, we will look at playbook syntax. This includes roles, includes, playbook directory structures, and loops and blocks. Consider the next chapter to be progression from of this chapter. Let's get started on it then, shall we?
