PRODUCER

Selects a project they can source finance to make. Finds distribution for the finished film to recoup the finance. Can hire and fire the DP.

PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT

Creates a schedule and budget. Organizes all aspects of the film production so that it stays on schedule and in budget.

DIRECTOR

Directs the actors and curates the creative ideas of each head of department (sound, design, camera, etc.) for the benefit of the film. Chooses people who bring the range of skills, taste and talent that will help them realize and enhance their intentions for the film. Can hire and fire the DP.
