So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CHAPTER 5Distributed Approaches to Leadership
In this chapter, we cover distributed leadership, so known because the leadership function is distributed more broadly than in hierarchical forms of vertical leadership, where the role of the leader in the leadership process is the focus. While leader-centric approaches are useful, they certainly do not represent the entire leadership process. Leadership as a process includes not only leaders, but also followers, in their various roles and guises, and a set of environmental conditions.
