Using the tools

As you begin Living Lean, you will be practising using the tools that I discussed in the previous chapter. Remember, the premise of the book is that, even if you practise the tools on your organisation, the only way to become a true Lean leader is to practise them on yourself and the way that you manage your own ways-of-working. A good example of this is the 8 wastes, and how you can utilise their reduction to make yourself more effective in your work, at the same time improving your life balance.
