Configuring iSCSI
The internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI) is a client/server protocol that provides block-level access to storage devices by carrying SCSI commands over a TCP/IP network. Since iSCSI uses the TCP/IP network, it can be used to transmit data over local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and the internet, making location-independent data storage and retrieval possible. This protocol allows clients (initiators) to send SCSI commands to storage devices (targets) on remote servers.
