Adding user role
Because Amazon Alexa calls AWS Lambda and AWS Lambda calls AWS IoT, we need a role to cover an access right for Amazon Alexa and AWS IoT. You can add a new role on Amazon IAM at http://console.aws.amazon.com/iam/. For instance, I created a role, named alexarole. Then, we should attach policies related to Amazon Alexa and AWS IoT. You probably can add AWSIoTDataAccess and AlexaForBusinessFullAccess. You can see my account role in AWS IoT that is shown in the following screenshot:
