Preparing the project
To implement this project, you should have Amazon Echo or Amazon Echo Dot. You can buy this device on the Amazon website. Fortunately, we can use the speech simulator from Amazon Alexa to emulate Amazon Echo. We send a voice command to test the program.
In addition, you should have an active account for the AWS and Amazon Alexa developer. In Chapter 1, Getting Started with AWS IoT, you probably registered to Amazon AWS. We will explore the Amazon Alexa developer in the next section of this chapter.
