When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Testing
Now you can test your AWS IoT Button using the MQTT client from AWS IoT. Perform the following steps:
- Click on the Test menu and then fill in the subscriber topic, iotbutton/+, and click on the Subscribe button.
- Once done, you can test it by clicking on your AWS IoT Button. Once the button is pressed, you will see a blinking white LED. This means that AWS IoT Button is sending data to AWS IoT. After data transmission to AWS is completed, our MQTT client can see the message "message": "Hello from AWS IoT console" , as seen in the following screenshot. Try to perform a double click on AWS IoT Button. It should show "DOUBLE" on clickType from message:
