6.15 Working with Vectors

Vector math is something that was taught in some high school math classes. Don’t worry, you’re not expected to remember much of that. Vector math is easily calculated in C# using the Unity 3D libraries, as vector math is often used in video games to move objects around.

Adding, subtracting, and multiplying vectors is easy in Unity 3D. We’ll look at how simple vector math is in Unity 3D in this section using the Vector3() object.

There are also many tools added into the MonoBehaviour class we’ve been inheriting for most of the classes we’ve been writing. Only Start() and Update() have been added to our prebuilt class we’ve been starting with, but there are many others which we haven’t seen yet.
