Windows Containers networking is very similar to the preceding configuration. Windows Container host machines which could be a Windows Server 2016 server on a physical server, virtual machine or even a Windows 10 client machine, and can extend their networking capabilities to the containers. If the container host is connected to the Internet using some type of channel like Ethernet or WiFi using a Network Interface Card (NIC), the containers running inside the host can latch onto the network using Virtual NICs (vNICs).
