Dnsmasq es un excelente servidor para servicios de nombres LAN, tanto Domain Name System (DNS) como Dynamic Host Discovery Protocol (DHCP). Dnsmasq también proporciona BOOTP, PXE y TFTP, que sirven para arrancar en red e instalar sistemas operativos desde un servidor de red.
