So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The misclassification impurity index is the simplest index, and is defined as follows:
The interpretation is straightforward but, unfortunately, in terms of quality performance, this index is not the best choice because it's not particularly sensitive to different probability distributions. In all of these cases, Gini or cross-entropy indexes are the most natural choice.
