In the previous chapter, I made a case for the critical importance of accountability in achieving results. Behaviors and real-life examples were given to demonstrate both high and low accountability. You were shown how you can use the shadow of the leader, critical incidents, and symbolic acts to support and drive home accountability in action. In this chapter, I would like to take you one step further, by providing a variety of techniques to further instill high accountability in your work-force. These methods will allow you to reinforce accountable behavior daily and will help you lead your employees to achieving and surpassing their goals.
