So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

All the advice in the previous pages is valid in most situations. Yet in certain situations, you need to fine-tune that advice. How you deal with a Bully who is confronted by a stressful situation like a 15 percent staff reduction is different from how you deal with a Scientist facing the same situation. You need to be aware of how a specific boss type handles these challenging situations and then adjust your standard approach accordingly. It’s not that you completely change the way you manage your Bully manager, for instance, but that you customize your behaviors in anticipation of how the Bully reacts to this situation.
