I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
9 Supporting research and operations learning and development to deliver effectively
Kate Towsey stated in 2020 that there was little formal ResearchOps training available, and this is still true in 2024.1 She also stated that there is little literature. Although there is more now, ReOps literature often focuses on the recruitment of people rather than the development of people within ReOps roles. I think this will change over time; the longer the field exists, we will build up that literature. This kind of literature can be found for researchers – as we saw in Chapter 1, market research and user research have both been around for a long time.
