Recording memory allocation

The Memory Profiler allows you to make a snapshot of the heap at some period in time. This feature is really useful if you want to know the following about the heap state:

• The class names of allocated objects
• How much space allocated objects use
• The stack trace of each allocation
• The moment when objects were garbage collected

You can use the record memory allocation and stop recording buttons to start and stop a recording session. Once you finish a recording session, a table with objects appears:

• By class name
• By package name
• By callstack
