Hands-on lab – resetting the password for Ubuntu

The procedure for resetting a password on an Ubuntu system is quite a bit different and quite a bit simpler. However, there is one slight difference between doing this on Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 18.04. That is, to see the boot menu on Ubuntu 16.04, you don't have to do anything. On Ubuntu 18.04, you have to press either the Shift key (on BIOS-based systems) or the Esc key (on UEFI-based systems) in order to see the boot menu. Let's get started:
