Creating a global class

A global class can be created in an SE24 transaction.

The initial screen of this transaction looks as follows:

 

In Object Type, we can pass the name of the class that will be created, or pass the name of a class that has already been created in order to edit it. If we want to create the same cl_auto class, we need to rename it, as global classes need to be created with a Z or Y prefix. In our example, the class will be named ZCL_AUTO.

After typing the name of the class, we have to choose whether we want to create a class or an interface.
