Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) are a very useful approach when you want to extend the standard functionality of SAP systems. BAdI can be understood as an interface awaiting implementation, and is placed in standard SAP transactions that are prepared by SAP. There are two types of BAdI: classic BAdIs, which were introduced in the early 4.6 versions, and the new BAdI (also called kernel BAdIs), which were introduced in NetWeaver 7.0 (along with the enhancement framework and switch framework).
