The most straightforward way of deploying SAP Gateway is to simply install all the components inside the core system. This is the simplest way to utilize all the tools that have been delivered with the solution without the need for investing in infrastructure. However, this variant does not scale up well. Other drawbacks are that all processing and connections are handled by the core system itself, which increases the system load and the security increase is not significant. On the other hand, this is the fastest solution, as all the required data is in place and there is no need to redirect any requests or calls.
