So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Data elements
Data elements are objects that describe the unitary fields in the Data Dictionary. It should be emphasized that the domain is used to define technical parameters, while the data element is more function-oriented (because it has labels explaining its purpose). This object is used to define the type of the table field, as well as the structure of the component.
Follow these steps to create a data element:
- Go to Transaction SE11, select the radio button for the Data Type element, and enter a name for it. Then, click on Create:
