The recipe, as simplistic as it is, was a quick introduction to Hive in Hadoop. This language mainly transforms the data by creating structures on top of others. In a further recipe later in this chapter, we'll use another program to transform the data: Pig Latin. But now, we'll leave the on-premises big data world to go into Azure.
