It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
3章イーサリアムクライアント
イーサリアムクライアントとは、イーサリアムの仕様を実装し、他のイーサリアムクライアントとピアツーピアネットワークを介して通信するソフトウェアアプリケーションです。異なるイーサリアムクライアントは、リファレンス仕様および標準化された通信プロトコルに準拠していれば相互運用（interoperate）できます。これらの異なるクライアントは、異なるチームによって異なるプログラミング言語で実装されていますが、すべて同じプロトコルを「話し」、同じルールに従います。したがって、それらのクライアントは、同じイーサリアムネットワークの運用と通信に用いることができます。
イーサリアムはオープンソースのプロジェクトです。すべての主要なクライアントのソースコードは、オープンソースライセンス（たとえば、LGPL v3.0）のもとで入手可能であり、自由にダウンロードして任意の目的で使用することができます。しかしオープンソース（open source）とは、ただ単に自由に使用できるだけではありません。イーサリアムが開かれたボランティアコミュニティによって開発されており、誰もが変更を加えられるということも同時に意味しています。より多くの人の手で、より信頼できるコードとなっているのです。
