This book explains how to build and maintain message-driven systems. As such, one might expect to dive directly into topics like message brokers, delivery guarantees, or schema evolution. To some readers, it can be surprising that the first chapter's title contains the term “business”. There is no doubt that deep technical expertise is crucial for building good software. Yet, a business mindset is key to building a purposeful product that solves customer problems and generates value.
