Many software products have a need to provide information that is composed of data from different sources within a system. The primary consumers of such composite data structures are user interfaces, integrations with external software, and reporting functionalities. As with other query use cases, there is typically no strict requirement for strong consistency. Even more, varying consistency delays among individual data sources can be acceptable. One key design challenge with a composition of information is to avoid unnecessary coupling between the involved system parts.
