Abstract

People often use the terms augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), and extended reality (XR) to talk about technologies that make or change reality. However, the way that academics and professionals have been using these phrases has varied. There has recently been a lot of interest in the metaverse, a network that connects devices based on AR, VR, and other virtual world technologies. VR and AR technologies can modify users’ views of reality by combining virtual items with the real environment. These advantages of VR and AR technologies include the fact that they are immersive, simple to use, reasonably priced, and possibly extendable. These applications include video gaming, online shopping, and architectural and interior design.
