Chapter 27. Exporting Text
As in QuarkXPress and PageMaker, you can export the text from your InDesign document separately from the document—either selected portions of a story or the entire text of the story (but only one story at a time). When you use this feature, only the text is saved to disk; graphics and inline objects aren’t included.
You can use one of the following methods to export the text, depending on how much text you need to export:
To export only a portion of text from a story, select that text, and then select Export from the File menu.
To export an entire story (text flow), place your cursor in the story to be extracted (without actually selecting any text) and select Export from the File menu.
