Wrapping Up

This chapter was a bit shorter than others in the book. TLS is a fundamental thing to know about when working with networks, but you’ll mostly use it transparently over TCP and focus on other networking aspects of your applications. But you still got to know the fundamentals of how TLS works, played around with the ssl Erlang application, and converted the chat system from previous chapters to use TLS.

This chapter concludes our journey into TCP. Next, we venture into the realm of UDP.
