In Chapter 6, Sentiment Analysis of Movie Reviews Using LSTM, we looked at sentiment analysis, which is a sequential problem in the domain of Natural Language Processing (NLP). We saw that sentiment analysis is a challenging problem even for humans, because words convey different meanings in different contexts. RNNs are thought to be the best form of neural networks for tackling sequential problems such as sentiment analysis. However, conventional recurrent neural networks suffer from a long-term dependency problem, which makes it unsuitable for lengthy bodies of text.
