In the discrete optical fiber sensing network, the fiber‐optic sensing units of the same modulation type are spatially distributed according to a certain rule and then coupled to the optical fiber by multiplexing technology according to a certain topology. Multiplexing technology refers to the coupling of multiple fiber‐optic sensors using one or more fiber‐optic buses, which have the same modulation type and have a certain spatial distribution.
