Introduction
Combining AJAX, PHP, and modularity concepts allows you to create new and exciting user capabilities in your applications while at the same time reducing code support and creation time. Part I includes the basic concepts that are reused throughout the rest of the book. Readers who are new to this technology should begin here. Those who are fluent in PHP and JavaScript modularity and objects will find this section a good review.
Appendixes A through E contain supporting information that includes primers on HTML, PHP, SQL, Oracle database administration, and PL/SQL, which are used throughout the book.
